Hello, I'm Clair!
I'll begin with how I ended up here and then tell you a little about myself.

I was born and raised in Toronto, and one of my earliest memories was sitting in my Grade Three class drawing on a piece of paper labelled "What Clair wants to be when she grows up." I did not draw a graphic designer; I drew a chef. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a chef, specifically a pastry chef. At celebrations, I love how we often gather with family and friends to cut a cake, and wanted to be regularly involved in those moments. So, I went to culinary school and loved every second.
After graduation, I began working in the industry but was soon miserable. It had become apparent that I was not going to get the opportunities to express and develop my creativity. The love and passion I once had for baking were gone. I was lost, and for the first time in my life, I had no direction. However, the few opportunities I'd experienced for creative expression had begun to draw me to the advertising side of the business. Soon after, I decided to change my career path because my "midlife crisis" was more like a quarter-life crisis.
Currently, I'm finishing my final semester of Advertising - Creative Digital Strategy at Centennial College; now you are all caught up! I'm no longer lost, but learning to love the journey of what's next for me.

Now that you know my story, I'll tell you a bit more about myself. I have mild ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and have always struggled in school. A teacher once told me I may never be at the same level as the other kids in my class. To this day, I am still determined to prove her wrong. You could say I am a little stubborn, and when I set my mind to something, I see it through to the end. I love painting, swimming, making silly faces and reading all kinds of fiction. My favourite books are Game of Thrones and Harry Potter. I am very family-oriented; my family and friends are my biggest supporters. They are the most important aspect of my life, and I wouldn't be who I am today without them.
